Mr. Essam El Shaer is the founder and owner behind Zen Luxury Hotels and Abrar Travel, and the owner of Pyramids Height Hotel & Pyramids Master Scene Rooftop. His work reflects more than 35 years of family experience in Egyptian hospitality, tourism, guest care and destination services.
Fluent in Italian, he has built lasting relationships with international travelers and partners. His study of Egyptian history, combined with decades of first-hand destination experience, allows him to share informed insight into Egypt’s monuments, heritage and regions and to help guests understand the places they visit.
That knowledge has been passed through the Al Shaer family: how to welcome international guests, build trusted local relationships, solve the practical details of travel and create journeys that feel personal rather than mass-produced.

Zen Pyramids Luxury Villa is the newest chapter: a newly opened, intimate 18-room retreat for travelers who want Cairo’s wonders close and a calm, personal place to return to. Modern rooms and a rooftop pool are supported by a family that has worked in hospitality and tourism for more than 35 years.
Abrar Travel is the Al Shaer family’s tourism and destination-services company. It operates separately from Zen Luxury Hotels while coordinating with its properties whenever guests request a complete accommodation and travel package.
Generation-to-generation local knowledge supports private tours, multilingual guides, transportation, airport services, adventure tourism, spiritual retreats, Christian pilgrimage programs, Umrah arrangements, Nile experiences, Red Sea holidays and fully customized travel itineraries.
